About Mosh 4 lives

Mosh 4 Lives was born out of a collaboration between several members in the community.

Artsy Fartsy Craft wanted to create a music festival to bring suicide awareness and mental health into everyday talk, raise money for AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention), and also to honor  lost loved ones who had taken their own lives. 

In the process of setting up the Inaugural Mosh 4 Lives Festival, we reached out to several members of the community to do podcasts, and finding additional bands, we all found there was an huge demand for people to volunteer and participate in the event. Many bands are still wanting to perform and be part of M4L, we could not give time for everyone. Once we got the event planned and starting promoting it even more people came out wanting to be part of it. We realized this couldn't be just a single event. 

After talking with artists, musicians, friends, and strangers we decided to turn M4L into a community and let everyone who wanted to be a part have a place to help and continue to help M4L grow.

As we continue to get things going we will have many artists, musicians, and individuals share stories, music, videos, merch all to support suicide awareness and mental health starting in the Carolina's and growing to national and eventually global reach. 

We are partnering with many bands, clothing companies, artists, small business, resource groups, and suicide organizations.

We want to create  events, markets, festivals, and merch with all proceeds going to support suicide awareness and mental health, and create support groups with a no judgement zone so those in need don't have to worry about insurance, or financial burdens to find help.

1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year. In the U.S. alone, over 130 individuals complete suicide on a daily basis.

Our mission involves being proactive in the local community. Erasing the stigma that surrounds mental health and suicide awareness. 

How will we accomplish this?

• Create local peer based support groups so that anyone in need has a place to go and talk about mental health issues.
• Work with local psychiatrists and psychologists to help get low cost or free counseling for those in need.
• Create events, markets, and meetups that focus on mental health and suicide awareness.
• Partner with other suicide awareness and mental health foundations to get more support and help fundraise.
• Partner with local artists, musicians, and venues to create content for Mosh 4 Lives that will educate and give others a platform to talk about mental health and suicide awareness.
• Give out free pamphlets, and educational material so others have the resources they need to get help or help someone in need.
• Work with volunteers to help reach as many people as we can.

Together we can erase this stigma and show others its alright to talk openly about mental health and suicide awareness.
