EvilLeaf is a Stoner Doom Metal band w/ heavy Thrash and Death Metal influences. The band formed in 2021 by EvilTheWes McCumbee in Gastonia, NC. It begin as a collection of friends jamming in the front yard on his DIY stage, and it just grew from there.

EvilLeaf is a Stoner Doom Metal band w/ heavy Thrash and Death Metal influences. The band formed in 2021 by EvilTheWes McCumbee in Gastonia, NC. It begin as a collection of friends jamming in the front yard on his DIY stage, and it just grew from there.

Their unique brand of music fuses fuzzed out heavy downtuned guitar riffs w/ Sludgy low end grooves. Agressive hard hitting drums brought together by contrasting clean and demonic vocals

EvilLeaf independently released there debut EP Slow Burn March 3rd, 2023. Available on Bandcamp and on all major streaming platforms. We’re are currently hard at work on the writing process for our follow up “The Smoke From Hell” and playing an handful of shows this Fall!

The band was formed as a side Project by EvilLeafs "EvilTheWes" McCumbee on Guitar/ Rig of Doom and Harsh Vocals. Joined by Digital Dolls frontman Vaughn Hughes on Lead guitar and Clean Vocals. Rounding out the Trio we have Multi-Instrumentalist Robert Burkett

Their brand of Music takes Slow sludgy down-tuned guitars over big tribal drums. Fused with spacey psychedelic overtone leads, melded with a wailing of vocals and Death growls.
Beyond The Portal will independently release their debut album Genetically Engineered. Via Vaughn and EvilTheWes' Indie Label Babylonian Records September 2024. The first single Plan 9 for Planet 9 can be found on Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms.
We boldly go where none have gone before, Into the Void, and Beyond The Portal. In the Unknown will we be alone or shall we find the Alien Gods home?

The child of the 80’s,  SL Harby grew up playing Dungeons & Dragons and classic video games.  An only child, he was bitten early by the reading bug, cutting his teeth on the masters of modern fantasy.  His days were spent inside the worlds created by Howard and Lieber, Moorcock and Tolkien.
